Content

Josh O'Donnell may be able to charm the socks off everyone else in Providence, but Poppy Sullivan knows a snake-oil salesman when she sees one.
The handsome, golden-eyed stranger fooled her once and she's not about to let it happen again.
Her concern for the well-being of the land must trump her growing attraction to Josh.
When Josh makes her an offer too good to refuse---catering two meals a day for his production company as they film a nature documentary in the East Mojave National Preserve---Poppy can't pass up the opportunity to keep an eye on the production team, and on Josh himself.
As the film crew moves from the fantastic rock formations at Hole in the Wall to the booming sands of Kelso Dunes, Poppy's unwilling attraction to Josh grows stronger with each passing day.
Now she's faced with the toughest decision of her life: can she leave all she holds dear to follow a rolling stone? Will she have to?

  •     I just LOVED this book. If I could give it 6 stars, I most definitely would. I loved everything about it. Poppy was an excellent heroine, and I could relate to her feelings. I loved Josh, too, as well as the beautiful discriptions of the desert.I hope this will be the first of many books by Sylvia Renfro.
  •     Sylvia Renfro writes a setting like nobody's business. I felt the Mojave National Reserve's heat on my skin and its sand in my eyes. Her characters are well developed and believable. The relationship between Josh and Poppy is the kind that most woman dream of-romantic, respectful and emotional. Looking forward to reading other books by Sylvia Renfro.
  •     Poppy's Place was fun to read if you weren't looking for something serious. It was a light romance which was very predictable.
  •     A beautiful story enriched by very accurate local descriptive insight of the Mojave National Preserve. Not many people know about the Indian birthing caves or even the lava tubes or have ever experienced a desert tortoise. Since my soul is in the Mojave National Preserve and I live there- just 5 miles from Hole in the Wall, this book was a total surprise and delight. I can totally understand how Poppy's soul was healed here. A unique and perfect setting for love. Thanks from a new breed pioneer woman.
  •     Sylvia really makes you feel the East Mojave landscape.
