  •     More varieties of modelsGood introducción to fenses. Whats is better to use if you have sheep,goats, cows and horses
  •     the book is a little light. You could get the same information off the internet or from your rural neighbors over a can of Bud light. But I cannot say I was looking for more for the light price.
  •     This is a great book, I got this book and another for my husband. We live on a farm and need lots of fences.
  •     Either you know how to fence, than you don't need this book or you don't. Then this book is just not enough to explain you how to do the job. There is some information but way to little to build a fence yourself. It was a bit a waste of money to by this book.
  •     Good for starters, it gives a good idea of what to use - tools, techniques, materials - and how work/labor is involved.
  •     Easy to read and understand. Explains how to different types of fencing. I will try when I get home from working overseas.
  •     Storey Country Wisdom is always Fabulous at keeping their prices low, while giving their readers the high quality wisdom, not information, that every audience deserves - yet rarely gets.When I signed up for a Fence and Irrigation class at a local college, I was shocked to hear that there was no book. You simply get used to the endlessly High Price Books at the College Bookstore. But you also get used to having real knowledge in your hand so the lack of a book did not bode well and my first class met for 10 minutes the first day. Eventually, the Fence and Irrigation class has become my FAVORITE class. I Love to build fences, get dirty and touch the Heart of a homeowner. I can see a lifetime of building fences for the simple joy of service.Yet, I will say I purchased this book only a few hours after that class, and then read it in one weekend - pouring over and over its short pages. It is a TRUE ASSET and has taught me everything we've done wrong, as much as it has what we've done right.And when asked to develope a cost for our first project, I can list everything it took - All due to the Beauty of this one little book.Buy it and save yourself the Pretty pictures and information found in other books. They simply don't have the wisdom require to get a fence up and make it last for Centuries...
  •     Hey!The Best Fences is a good little booklet, right down to the cute little sketch on the front cover. It covers most of the concerns you deal with when building fences, including what kind for what animal or concern you wish to build the fence for. However, it is only 32 pages long. You can't expect it to be a massive compendium of information on fencing. But, then, for its price, it is a pretty good deal. Wonderful information everyone should have before building a fence, for one. It even gives you a few suppliers at the end, to look for some good fencing supplies.Hope this helps all you potential buyers out there, and happy reading!Luv ya,Tashi :)
