  •     In a world that measures everything, it was a matter of time until we began measuring influence. You are going to read plenty of reviews here from those that say they do not care about their Klout score. Yet, you will also notice they are often quick to share it - and it will nearly always be a high score.Guess what? Ranting about Klout and getting others to join them contributes to raising their Klout score. The ability to attract a digital crowd is a measure of influence. So, if the naysayers don't care about Klout, why are they always talking about it?Maybe they know what you don't.People are quick to judge, and like it or not, your Klout score is one method for doing exactly that. It doesn't matter if you care about Klout, only that others are using it.So, why take the chance of losing a business deal as a result? Get the book.Gina Carr and Terry Brock thoroughly examine why Klout Matters, and how you can prepare your business for it.

  •     that it's not even worth the time I spend reviewing it. My suspicion is that ALL the top reviews are given by people that have either been praised in this book or are relatives to the writers. Do not spend money buying this! It will teach you that if you want a high klout score you must spend a lot of time and simply engage with others. Like them, comment on their stuff, retweet them, whatever. Kiss their *** if possible, like the authors do in each page, where they "share great advice given by their genius friend marketer NAME_HERE". Here's the kind of advice you can expect: "create tweets that compliment several people at once; example: these guys are great @NAME_HERE1, @NAME_HERE2, @NAME_HERE3)". THIS BOOK IS NOT RATTED 5 STARS, IT'S A CHARLATANRY. I will personally report this product to Amazon. Please do the same if you arrive at the same conclusion as me.
  •     Gina and Terry produced a 5 star book filled with so many realistic and understandable strategies. I couldn't put Klout Matters down. I can't wait to implement the great ideas.
  •     I had the pleasure of meeting Gina at a recent conference. I was intrigued by her presentation and just knew that I needed to learn more about Klout.
  •     I manage and teach social media for a living, and I wondered if I'd learn anything new from this book.

  •     In a world where we are all Facebooking, Tweeting, G+ing, Instagramming and trying to be LinkedIn to what is going on in the world today some still wonder exactly what all of...
  •     I'm really glad to see Gina and Terry release this book on Klout. I remember when the site first launched. They announced that what they were doing was relevant and important. Years have gone by and Klout has lived up to their promise. I've received several perks as a result of my Klout score, and I believe this score is going to be more important as time moves on. That's why this book is important for all online businesses and brands to read. We're moving from carpet-bombing advertising to focusing on influencers. If businesses know how to reach influencers, they will know how to reach their customers. Klout is the leading indicator for locating influencers and this book will show you how to become more influential. - Joel Comm, New York Times Best-Selling AuthorTwitter Power 2.0: How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time
  •     Written by two premiere digital gurus, Klout is a masterful treatment of much more than a score. It teaches you to look at the bigger picture. What does your score really mean?
  •     This book is especially great for thought leaders and those in the service industry who can influence anyone. Klout Is your gauge to how well you are of influence in the world.
  •     I was looking for a book that would guide me boost my digital influence. I found marketing propaganda for Klout. The authors spend 2/3 of the time explaining how great Klout is, how it's important, how you should care, how others already care, all without any empirical foundation and with a total lack of understanding for the technology behind it.The other 1/3 of the book contains some vague pointers and recommendations on how to boost your Klout score.2 stars just because the book is titled "Klout Matters" and that's exactly what the authors are preaching.
  •     I'm a savvy social media person. My Klout score as I type this is 68. I purchased this book hoping I would gain a better understanding and hopefully eek out a few tips on what I could do to raise my score. I wasn't looking for a miracle as I assume I'm already doing a number of things effectively. This 240 page book could have been a 240 word blog post that basically said, "Klout is important. It's mysterious and you'll never know how their algorithm works. You simply need to write good content and make sure others circulate it." Oh. I suppose it could have been a 25 word blog post. Also, I find it extremely hard to believe that there are so many 5 star reviews for the book. From a how-to guide perspective, this book failed miserably.
  •     What an amazing book in that Terry and Gina somehow have interwoven the new science of social media technology with a personal development tone.
  •     I really enjoyed the way Gina and Terry took a comprehensive approach to KLOUT. They framed it in the context of social media, not just one unrelated part of a social media plan.
