Insiders' Guide® to Bellingham and Mt.
Baker showcases a little-known gem of a city about 90 miles north of Seattle and just south of the U.S.-Canada border.
Set on the beaches of northern Puget Sound, surrounded by the San Juan Islands on one side and the North Cascades Mountains on the other, Bellingham boasts a setting that is out of this world.
It’s a dream town for those with an outdoor jones.
But Bellingham is also a college town and offers just as many cultural and artistic opportunities, as well as great places to stay and eat.

  •     Great preview before a planned visit to the PNW
  •     I've bought several of these guides and they are good. Can't go wrong with Insiders.
  •     THE INSIDERS' GUIDE TO BELLINGHAM AND MOUNT BAKER is an exceptional guide to the Northwestern section of Washington State. It describes all of the shopping, dining, recreation, media, sightseeing, physical fitness opportunities, schools, and other stuff that you need to know in order to make a successful move to the area. However, it's also a great book for those who wish to vacation there, as well as for people who simply have an interest in the area. This is a great book that you should not pass up.
  •     Good book!
  •     Like country and western music, play it backwards and you get your wife back, your truck back, your dog back and you get sober. If I could read this backward I wonder if I could get my gal back.Excellent resource for the area. Covers it may ways and many directions.
  •     This is a great travel book! This is great to have for trip planning and also great for "stay-cations."
  •     I grabbed this guide when I was interviewing for a position in Bellingham. I read the entire book, and it had a ton of information on restaurants, festivals, parks... pretty much anywhere you would want to visit. I ended up not moving to there, but I keep wishing I could find the same quality of guide for other places. It was organized well and was pretty humorous, actually enjoyed reading it.
