  •     This book is well written and illustrated, easy to read, and will delight children from ages 2 to 102. The way it is written will capture and keep your attention throughout the story. There's even some cultural background information included in the back. Highly recommended for enjoyable reading.
  •     This is a sweet story about how African people came upon the musical instrument that is the drum. Enchanting imagery and for a child it is not challenging to read. It leaves just enough to the imagination and includes a taste of wonder when the boy stumbles upon the animals and the lion playing the drum.
