  •     This is a neat reprint from a by-gone Victorian era about everything residential and commercial gas related, including gas metering and proposed gas plumbing standards. As a gas engineer for my local utility company, it's amazing how many of our standards today stems from these old books written 100 years ago. I gave it five stars because I'm into this sort of historical stuff, but if you don't like building code history, industrial history on plumbing or gas distribution history, then you may not like it. Very technical and somewhat opinionated by the original author, lots of tables for gas appliances from 100 years ago. A must read if you are into Victorian era gas lighting of homes and indoor public spaces.
