  •     Although it had trouble understanding the concept, the more I trusted the process, the more I understood it. I'm going to read this book over and over again.
  •     At first I thought this book might be too scienc-y for me. But Gregg Braden traverses the metaphysical and the concrete very well! He cites lots of explorers of physics from the ancient to the modern. Plus he brings in lots of personal and anecdotal stories. It's packed with information. He introduces and elaborates on concepts, making them very accessible to a non-science person. I had seen Braden's books around for many years but did not approach his work for the above reasons. Now I'm on my third book! I was so taken with this book I sent a copy to a friend who loves it. I think it's a good Braden book to start with. Basically, he discusses how "reality" is created.
  •     In The Spontaneous Healing of Belief Gregg Braden tackles the great questions of life: who are we, and what are we capable of creating? He draws the analogy of an all-encompassing computer program to explain how the universe works and what our part in its working may be. And he says that, like a computer programmer, people must understand the code that causes the computer to produce the results they choose. Without the correct codes, results are likely to be something other than the individual wants. For example, discussing fractals, Braden offers the code: "If the universe is made of repeating patterns, then to understand something on a small scale provides a powerful window into similar forms on a grand scale." Following that, he offers "belief is the `program' that creates patterns in reality." Thus, he leads the readers into the central thesis of this book: To heal your life and recreate your life, heal your beliefs. It is his premise that humans are capable of creating miracles. We become less than capable only when we accept the limits that we ourselves have created. To identify and restructure those beliefs that underlie our self-imposed limits, he includes a series of exercises that make change of belief almost inevitable. What I enjoyed most about this book is Braden's synthesis of the findings of scientific studies and the teachings of philosophers and medicine workers throughout history. He masterfully creates coherent linkages between the teachings of the masters, such as Jesus, the Buddha, and Rumi, and what scientists are telling us about the structure and function of the universe. While this could be a dry, dull recitation, Braden's gift with words creates a stunning, compelling vision of human potential in a highly readable and enjoyable format. There is so much to ponder in The Spontaneous Healing of Belief that it deserves several readings. It rests on my bedside table for rereading and rethinking my own self-imposed limits.Highly recommended!
  •     Belief plays such an important role in healing. This book will bring clarity to that concept. It's an excellent book that you will want to share with anyone dealing with illness.
  •     This is a truly well-researched book that has such a practical approach to changing your thinking. Braden continues to intersect academics with spirituality.
  •     This is the third book of Gregg Braden that I read. I absolutely loved the Divine Matrix, but this book, published 2 years later, is equally fantastic - a truly eye-opening...
  •     Not what I expected. I really enjoy listening to Gregg Braden, which is why I bought the book, unfortunately, I found it a bit hard to follow personally and some concepts ( to me)...
  •     As always Braden's novels are educating, well written and interesting enough to read again.
  •     I like all the info this awesome brainy guy provides; However his writing style could perhaps be improved.
  •     What a joy to have Gregg Braden and his wisdom. Inspiring!
  •     I cannot begin to praise this book enough.I am doing the exercises that Gregg recommends in this book. I am truly recognizing old negative subconscious beliefs and doing my inner work to release them and replace them with positive beliefs.I am truly inspired to continue my daily spiritual practices. I received a doctorate in Metaphysics so I am very familiar with the quantum field of energy.I highly recommend this book to anyone who is ready to let go of beliefs that do not support ones true spirit.Thank yoiu GreggDr. Nancee Sweeney
  •     so much powerful truth in this video, great insight. Funny, how humans want to deny the truth of Our Creator God, but talk of His word and truth all the time :-) , love this...
  •     I love this man. He writes so everyone can understand.
  •     I am going through this book for a second time because there is so much to it! I am also buying a copy for my godson. This has really opened my eyes to possibilities. I now have greater faith in making changes to my life and the cool thing about it is that he boils it all down to a factor of quantum physics! How cool is that? The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is that it is a bit tedious in spots. Worth getting to the end. Loving the second read!
  •     I read this before my spine fusion surgery. What a help, I am off the pain medications early and better than expected by those around me. This book has kept me focused and on track. Not one day of depression or pain that I couldn't shift my focus away from. I am thankful for this procedure because of my preparations. I am healing myself.
  •     Greggs Material is quite difficult to understand for people who are blank in consciousness research and/or NLP. When you say to a random someone on the street: "Your behaviour is driven by your beliefs and your beliefs create how you experience your life" they will be looking flabbergasted to you and totally do not understand what you mean I think. Shifting you beliefs to a more open, more possible area is in fact making a paradigm shift for many people and it requires training and training as the same is valid for learning to play a musical instrument. I think that a lot of people are trapped by their mind creating falls beliefs, while they are not consciously aware of it. My NLP trainer learned me that every belief is a ly and this was a very big eye opener for me. And when you have one belief which does not work you can choose any time by simply exchange it with one which does work.Do I recommend this book? Not to everyone. Only for people who are already along the way in personal growth and have experience with for instance Neuro Linquistic Programming -(NLP)(e.g. Values and belief systems). Intention is the key for making things happen. Energy flows where intention goes! For example: If you are continously focussing on everything what is negative in your view of the world then the negative energy will catch you and finally make you sick or even kill you (toxic specimen will be created by your nerve system (peptides and neuro transmitters)by negative emotions as anger, fear, envy, grief etc).So long,Ruud
  •     2 stars could only mean "I don't like it" in America. I did like it. But that's all. Anything at all for free from the Agape Center in Los Angeles would be deeper than...
