In its creative integration of the disciplines of writing, rhetoric, and theology, Writing Theology Well provides a standard text for theological educators engaged in the teaching and mentoring of writing across the theological curriculum.
As a theological rhetoric, it will also encourage excellence in theological writing in the public domain by helping to equip students for their wider vocations as writers, preachers, and communicators in a variety of ministerial and professional contexts.

  •     Not too helpful
  •     Writing Theology Well addresses the subject in an engaging and logical manner. The book is easy to follow, provides excellent guidance, increases enthusiasm and strengthens confidence in ones ability to address the subject.
  •     This is a thorough and outstanding book that should help many people be far more articulate in expressing theological thinking and reasoning.
  •     I bought this for a minister who doesn't have Internet access. She couldn't find this at any bookstore in town. Arrived quickly and in great shape.
  •     I have been a writing teacher for almost 15 years, so I was happy to see how clear and helpful this guide is.
  •     Great resource for writing my Masters thesis
  •     Horrible book.Don't waste your time reading this. There are much better books on writing Theology.
  •     Writing Theology Well certainly will equip you with the tools needed to write like a theologian. Writing theologically does not equate to re-inventing the writing wheel, it simply...
  •     http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0826418856/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_titleI purchased this wonderful book from Amazon Books on line and it arrived in great condition at my door within two weeks which was wonderful. I have found this book a great help to me who struggles to write academic papers in my study of theology and I would recommend it to anyone who needs assistance. I have noticed that the book gives all types of direction to anyone who is required to write detailed papers right up to synthesis papers for seminarians. I would hope that this book is in the libraries of all seminaries to help their students conquer this task which is compulsory for them to complete before ordination.
  •     The book is an excellent guidebook for exploring how to write and think theologically. As a professional writer, I still found the transition to writing and thinking theology daunting. After many months and years of being told to think and write in theological concepts, without success, I found this book and her guides to doing both. She guides the reader/writer in that pilgrimage to becoming a writer of theology. I say a pilgrimage for, although we look ahead at the destination of being more accomplished, she allows the writer/reader to see progress and the evolution from novice to increasingly more accomplished in status. When I first began using the book, it took me days to write a reflection paper, an essay, or a research paper. But she gave me the confidence and tools to do so with greater ease and confidence. Thank you.
  •     I used read this book during my off seasons while in seminary. It has helped me not to write theology well, but to also to think critically.
